What better way to motivate and inspire students than to offer authentic person to person interactions? Providing opportunities to listen to, speak, dance, and to create art together is a fundamental component of the Words Into Deeds teaching model. Spending time with activists, experts, and artists results in students’ enhanced use of critical thinking, communication, pro-social, and artistic skills. Understanding guests’ points of view broadens outlooks, builds capacity for empathy, and stimulates service learning project ideas. Inspirational and exciting people are invited to bring their world experiences into the learning experiences of Words Into Deeds students.
